Noble Consulting is a Chicago-based education consulting firm founded by Dr. Claudia Mercado and Carolina Huerta, with a mission to revolutionize educational ecosystems by placing equity, inclusivity, and human-centered design at the forefront of institutional change. With over 35 years of combined experience in higher education, Noble Consulting offers a diverse range of services, from strategic leadership development to curriculum expertise, all aimed at fostering real transformation through authentic relationships and purposeful action.
Dr. Claudia Mercado
Dr. Claudia Mercado is a nationally recognized leader in higher education with more than 25 years of experience advancing equity, student success, and institutional transformation. She has served as Vice President for Enrollment Management and as a faculty member at multiple Minority Serving Institutions, and is an Aspen Presidential Fellow and Inaugural Index Impact Fellow.
Claudia’s facilitation style blends storytelling, humor, and data with culturally responsive pedagogy. She has led national and international convening’s, including her recent work in Bangkok, Thailand with the Inya Institute and MCC Consortium on curriculum reform. Her expertise spans strategic planning, enrollment innovation, curriculum leadership, and coalition-building.
Carolina Huerta Co-Founder
Carolina Huerta is a passionate advocate, admissions professional, and equity educator with over a decade of experience in higher education. Currently serving as Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions at Loyola University Chicago, she leads bilingual recruitment initiatives, inclusive program design, and student support rooted in social justice values.
Carolina has previously worked at Centro Romero and the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Center for Literacy, supporting adult learners through transition services, career pathways, and community outreach. Known for her ability to build authentic relationships and design culturally affirming spaces, Carolina leads logistical coordination and engagement strategy for Noble Consulting, ensuring every convening and event reflects both excellence and inclusion.
